Junior Interior Designer
NBI is looking for a junior level interior designer to add to the team. This is a mostly work from home position that may require travel in and around New Braunfels for meetings, and Austin for showroom and site visits. The position will require 20-30 hours per week to start, but may increase to full time after a 90 day review if the workload is there and the employee is a good fit.

• Wants autonomy over their design, but would love to hand off placing orders and running the business
• Self directed and happy to manage multiple projects

• Not only understands the importance of organization, systems and processes but loves to use them to keep their projects joyful and efficient
• Has an upbeat personality and a positive attitude
Roles + Responsibilities:

Be able to manage a project from start to finish, with oversight and approval of management

Pull together all furniture and finishes of an entire space/home

Create design boards and proposals for client presentations
-
Do purchase orders, track orders, manage deliveries
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 2-3 years experience running interior design projects (both furniture and finishes) from start to finish
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design preferred
-
Knowledge of design vendors and resources
-
A great design sensibility and fit in with the aesthetic of our studio's projects
-
Outstanding technical skills with strong knowledge of CAD/SketchUp
-
Ability to focus on multiple projects in various stages of development
-
Ability to work autonomously and manage associates as needed
-
Ability to communicate design ideas and direction
-
Experience being the main contact with clients, vendors, and trades
-
Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
-
Reliable car and valid driver’s license to go to and from project sites, showrooms, meetings, etc.

Employee must be willing to travel into Austin up to 2-3 days a week, and have wi-fi to work remotely.
Compensation

Depending on experience, starting at $20 per hour
